03-07 Power Stroke 6.0L Fuel System

Ford's hydraulically activated unit injectors (HEUI) was originally invented by Caterpillar and is considered outdated technology today.  This fuel injection system utilizes a high pressure oil pump that creates a specific volume of oil for the injectors (from 450 to 3,600 psi) to convert that energy into 25,000 psi of fuel pressure at WOT.  The complexities of this fuel system are what creates weak spots in reliability and durability.  There is also a need for a high pressure fuel pump to lift fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel injectors, and that's where FASS Fuel Systems come into play.  As these trucks are tuned for higher horsepower, the need for a high quality lift pump is necessary to keep up the the increased demand.  The FASS Titanium Signature Series fuel systems have flow rates from 140 gph all the way up to 240 gph, all running between 45-55 psi.
